Over 95% of consumers will pay up to 1,500 lei for heat

The heat bills for December will be by about 30% higher than in November. Over 95% of the consumers will pay up to 1,500 lei for heat, while the others even more than 2,000 lei. The information was made public by the head of SA Termocom Mihai Cernei in the ordinary meeting of the City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. The heating of a square meter of dwelling cost about 19.15 lei. The owners of one-room apartments will pay on average 725 lei, those who own two-room apartments - 978 lei, while those who have two- and three-room apartments – 1,294 and 1,600 lei respectively. In December it was colder than in November and the heat was supplied in larger volumes, Mihai Cernei said, adding that Termocom will try not to increase the heating charges, but this depends greatly on the gas supplier. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca recommended economizing on heat if the weather permits. The heating systems in public institutions, except for hospitals and kindergartens, will be stopped at night. The heat bills for October and November have been 72% paid so far.
