More than 900 end-users in Chisinau have debts of over 20,000 lei for heat. In order to recover the money, the inspectors of the heat utility SA Termocom paid visits to the consumers with debts, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from SA Termocom, during the inspections the owners of 180 apartments agreed debt rescheduling timetables, 212 owners refused to agree such schedules, while 77 end-users with debts refused to talk to the inspectors and will be sued. The 399 apartment owners who weren’t found at home will be visited again. 32 of the over 900 apartments are in litigation. In one case, the debt of 73,700 lei was paid fully immediately after the inspector’s visit.
The heat supplier announced that it started to prepare the piping system for the 2013 – 2014 heating season. Repair works are performed at the South and West thermal stations and at the suburban stations. The boilers at the thermal stations in Stauceni and Ciorescu have been checked for faults.
SA Termocom assured that maximum effort is made to prepare the heating system so as to ensure reliability and thermal comfort during the 2013 – 2014 season.
