More than 76,000 apartments in Chisinau have debts of over 1,000 lei for heat. The level of payments in the residential sector is 59%, IPN repots, quoting a communiqué from the heat supplier Termocom. The debts total over 380 million lei.
As many as 39,000 apartments have debts of 1,000 to 3,000 lei, over 17,000 apartments – of 3,000 to 5,000 lei, 7,000 apartments – of 5,000 to 7,000 lei, while more than 13,000 apartments – of over 7,000 lei.
About 41,000 apartments of the over 76,000 are administered by municipal housing stock managing companies. The others are administered by private house owners associations and homebuilding cooperatives or are departmental houses.
The Chisinau heat supplier insistently asks the housing stock managers and apartment owners with debts to settle them as soon as possible so as to avoid being sued and having their property confiscated.
