A sum of over 73,000 lei has been collected in the framework of the campaign “Tales from Home” that was staged by CCF Moldova, alongside Ilinca Avram, for the third time. Each donation was doubled by a bank based in Chisinau, while a sugar producer made a considerable donation. This year the reading of tales was encouraged by a number of fathers who were supported by three female voices, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the organization.
CCF Moldova this year has a double mission. The children from the Republic of Moldova and children from Ukraine need assistance alike. Annually, the programs of CCF Moldova support over 700 children to grow at home so as to prevent their separation from the family. Some of the children from orphanages are reintegrated into the family. The activity of CCF Moldova is centered on the protection of children in 20 centers in which there are Ukrainian children together with their parents.
A number of fathers helped CCF Moldova during the third edition of the campaign “Tales from Home”. These are Vlad Țurcanu, Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici, Maxim Melinti, Dmitri Voloshin, Maxim Potîrniche, Dumitru Talmazan, Dumitru Marian, Petru Hadârcă, Iulian Filip, Bogdan Pleșuvescu, Dumitru Roman (Beton), Roman Rybaleov, Tudor Darie, Mihai Burciu, Dinu Țurcanu, Dan Melnic, Marcel Spatari.
On the last day of the campaign, June 1, on International Children’s Day, the tales were thrice more intense. The patron of CCF Moldova Valentina Nafornița paid a visit to grandmother Pavlina and her six grandchildren. With her warm and noble voice, she read a tale about kindness and peace, generosity and benevolence to the children.
The campaign was also supported with a lot of involvement by Olesia Shevchenko, the wife of Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, who read in Ukrainian to children at a refugee center in Cojușna. She created a very bright atmosphere that definitely remained a warm memory.
The campaign ended with the message of Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari, who also read a tale about friendship at one of the refugee centers.
CCF Moldova president Liliana Rotaru at the end of the campaign said that each tale is closer to offer the children in poor communities a better life near their parents. “Owing to the joint effort, we manage to change the world to the better,” she stated.
