Over 700 temporary identity cards issued by PSA on election day

The multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency (PSA) by noon issued 719 provisional identity cards so that citizens can vote in the presidential election and in the constitutional referendum. Also, 1,223 identity cards were issued, IPN reports.

The PSA noted that today, October 20, the multifunctional centers work according to a special program. They will issue the necessary documents for voting by 09:00 p.m.

Citizens eligible to vote both in the country and abroad can vote on the basis of the identity card of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, which confirms the domicile or temporary residence of the voter on the territory of the polling station. Also, citizens can vote with the temporary identity card with mentions about the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, domicile or temporary residence of the holder, or with the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, including with an expired period of validity.

The polling stations stablished for the presidential election and the national constitutional referendum on joining the EU are open until 09:00 p.m.
