Over 660,000 persons crossed state border during winter holidays

More than 660,000 persons crossed the state border during the winter holidays, since the middle of December until January 1. 380,000 of them entered Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the press office of the Border Guard Service. The border crossing points situated on the Moldovan-Ukrainian frontier were the most popular. Over 145,000 persons crossed the border through the Otaci checkpoint, while about 54,000 through the Valcinet checkpoint. On the Moldovan-Romanian border, 74,000 crossings were recorded at the Leuseni customs post, 50,000 crossings at the Sculeni post, and about 40,000 crossings at the Giurgiulesti-Galati post. More than 40,000 persons crossed the Chisinau –Airport checkpoint.
