Over 60 kilos of red caviar found hidden in a bus

Customs officers at Palanca checkpoint found 61 kilograms of red caviar hidden in a bus on route from Ukraine to Moldova, the Customs Service reported. According to the customs officers, it was attempted to import the precious roe, valued at around 20 thousand lei, without declaring it. The caviar was found hidden in the luggage compartment of the bus, in black plastic bags. In a separate case, the customs officers discovered a large variety of undeclared tractor parts hidden in a vehicle bound for Moldova. The check-ups were part of an anti-fraud plan carried out in partnership with Bender Customs' Anti-Fraud Department.
