More than 5,500 books were donated by hundreds of people within the “Library from under Fir Tree” initiative launched by the Government. The books will be distributed to national school libraries and nursery schools, IPN reports.
“The “Library from under Fir Tree” initiative as part of the campaign “Home for Christmas” attracted hundreds of beautiful and generous people, who donated over 5,500 books that will reach creche-kindergartens and school libraries across the country. I thank all those who contributed – teams from ministries, the chancellery and public institutions, representatives of libraries and people who responded to our call,” said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The “Library from under Fir Tree” initiative forms part of the “Home for Christmas” campaign and was launched in early December 2023.
