Employees of the water supplier SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” last weekend dealt with 45 accidents on water pipes with the diameter of 50-400 mm, mainly made from steel. Works were also performed to unblock sewer pipes at 38 addresses. No cases of freezing of water meters and branch pipes were reported, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company says that 23 water pipeline accidents on a number of streets of Chisinau are to be handled today, January 23. Therefore, a part of the dwellers will be disconnected from the water supply. A number of 58 sewer pipe accidents are also to be dealt with today.
SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” said its rapid response teams make effort to handle all the water and sewer pipeline accidents and failures as soon as possible.
In another development, the company said that according to the latest reports, the level of water in the Nistru River is 9.2m and the pumping station in Vadul lui Voda town that supplies Chisinau with water works normally.
