During the first three days of the campaign “Tulburel”, 43 persons were caught driving under the influence of alcohol and were banned from driving.  Thirty of them were heavily inebriated, while three refused to take a breath test, IPN reports, with reference to the General Police Inspectorate.

During the first eight months of the year, the police identified over 4,000 persons driving under the influence. Most of them were in an advanced state of inebriation.

The alcohol concentration of minimum 0.3 g/l in the blood and of minimum 0.15 mg/l in the exhaled air means the person is inebriated. The concentrations higher than 0.5 g/l in the blood and higher than 0.3 mg/l in the exhaled air show an advanced state of inebriation.
