Over 3,000 Moldovans applied for scholarships in Romania

3,163 Moldovan students have applied for the 2,190 scholarships offered this year by the Romanian Government. George Scarlat, the press attaché of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, told Info-Prim Neo that in Chisinau 315 students applied for secondary education and 1,619 for university studies. In Balti, the number of applications was 137 and 650, respectively. In Cahul, 97 students applied for secondary education and 345 for a Romanian university. The final results will be announced by the end of August. Between August 1 and 8, a commission formed of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, the Department for Romanians Abroad, the Iasi District Inspectorate and the Dunarea de Jos University of Galati, came to Moldova to receive the applications of young Romanians from Moldova to study in Romania.
