More than 300 persons have taken part in the commemoration service and burial of Vadim Pisari from Pirita, who was wounded fatally from a gun by a Russian military man of the peacekeeping post No. 9 located near Vadul lui Voda. “Those attending include his classmates, relatives, villagers and local councilors. They brought many flowers and wreaths,” Serghei Pantazii, a participant in the Nistru war attending the funeral, has told Info-rim Neo. Among the officials at the funeral are Mayor of Pirita Iurie Soltan, the head of Dubasari district Grigore Polichinski, and Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. The locals staged a new protest at the place of the tragedy on the burial day. About 600 people gathered together, demanding that the persons to blame for the 18-year-old man’s death be held accountable and that the peacekeeping post be removed. The Moldovan authorities announced that the Unified Military Command reached an agreement to reduce the number of military men at post No. 9 from seven to four and to unarm them.
