More than 654,000 voters or 22.6% of the electorate cast their ballots by noontime, in contrast to over 455,000 voters by this hour in the first round of the presidential elections, IPN reports.
In Chisinau, over 132,000 voters made their choice by midday, as against 91,000 in the first round.
Nationwide, 40.73% of those who voted are aged between 56 and 70, 24.06% – between 41 and 55, 17.75% - between 26 and 40, 12.06% - older than 71, 5.41% - between 18 and 25. The ratio of female voters to male voters was 52.02%:47.98%.
