Over 21,000 ballots to be printed for new local elections

More than 21,000 ballots will be printed for the new local elections of May 14. The largest number of ballots will be printed for Mereni village of Anenii Noi district – over 5,000, while the smallest number for Pervomaisc commune of Causeni district – 1,149, IPN reports.

According to the Central Election Commission, the ballots for Mereni will be the longest, of 23.4 cm. Seven candidates are running in the mayoral elections here. The shortest ballot, of 12.4 cm, will be printed for Tvardita town of Taraclia district.

New mayoral elections on May 14 will be held in Mereni village of Anenii Noi, Hirova village of Calarasi district, Pervomaisc commune of Causeni district, Tipala commune and Ulmu village of Ialoveni district, Racovat village of Soroca district and in Tvardita, Taraclia.
