More than 3,000 police officers, soldiers, employees of specialized services of the Chisinau City Hall and volunteers have been involved in works to clear the capital city’s streets of trees and branches downed during the heavy snowfalls of April 20 and 21. These were provided with about 120 trucks, with over 2,000 trucks of tree branches and stumps being already collected, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
On April 28, Prime Minister Pavel Filip called a working meeting with representatives of state institutions involved in the cleanup effort. There was discussed the improvement of interaction between all the involved institutions for more efficiently managing the resources available to the Crisis Cell.
