As many as 107 patients treated of COVID-19 were discharged from the hospital on May 12. This way the number of persons who got cured rose to 2,176, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
In a press release, the Ministry said two more persons succumbed to COVID-19: a woman aged 67 and another woman aged 76, both from Chisinau.
Of the hospitalized infected persons, 249 are in a serious state and 19 of them were put on a ventilator.
The infections with COVID-19 confirmed in Moldova by now number 5,154. Of these, 1,222 cases were recorded among healthcare system employees.
The death toll from COVID-19 stands at 184.
