A sum of 10 million lei was earmarked in the 2019 municipal budget for building parking places in Chisinau, by 2 million lei for each district of the capital city.
Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu, after the February 4 meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions, said 450-500 parking places will be set up in each district, IPN reports.
The official noted he instructed the district heads to identity places for parking in concert with citizens of Chisinau. The municipal enterprise Exdrupo was requested to launch the bidding process so as to choose the contractor that will buy paving and paint for the parking places that will start to be built when the weather permits.
