Over 200 students and about 300 teachers got COVID-19

More than 200 students and about 300 teachers became infected with COVID-19. Another over 3,000 students and more than 180 teachers are self-isolating. Ten education institutions and 138 classes apply distance learning owing to quarantine, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, 64 members of non-teaching and ancillary staff also got the virus and 44 are self-isolating.

In vocational education institutions, 24 students, 13 professors and ancillary staff member tested positive for SARS-Cov-2 during October 26-30. Also, 12 groups of students are self-isolating.

Of 1,398 early education institutions, 1,301 resumed work, while seven institutions and 30 groups of children are quarantining. Six children and 84 educators contracted the virus.

The educational process in schools and lyceums was resumed on November 2 after the autumn vacation.
