Over 200 first graders went to “Gh. Asachi” school on September 3

The bell on September 3 rang announcing the start of the school year for 209 first-grade students that went to the theoretical lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi” in Chisinau, the oldest and biggest school in the country. On the first school day, the little students came to the solemn meeting held in front of the lyceum dressed in new uniforms and with big bouquets of flowers. Excited, they say they are waiting for the classes to start as they want to make new friends and to learn many new things. The parents who brought their little children to school for the first time are also thrilled and with great expectations. They hope that their sons and daughters will gain solid knowledge that will help them build a beautiful life. Boris Volosatai, director of the theoretical lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi”, congratulated first of all the small children, who came to school for their first class. He said that the teachers will teach them to write the words ‘mother’, ‘homeland’, ‘country’, ‘tricolor’ and will help them build the future. To make it a good start, the students were blessed by the senior proest of Saint Theodora de la Sihla Church, father Ioan Ciuntu, who wished them a god year, wisdom and success. On the Knowledge Day, the Head of Parliament Marian Lupu congratulated the students and teachers. He urged the children and young people to learn well and with abnegation so as to perceive the laws of nature and the accomplishments of the humanity and build a beautiful future for themselves and for their country. Marian Lupu wished the teachers and parents understanding, patience and courage to help and support the young generations so as they become active and responsible citizens of the country. Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev wished the students many and interesting trips to the world of knowledge and many true friends, the parents – children thirsty for knowledge and major results, and the teachers – grateful students and new achievements in their profession.
