More than 20 buildings in Chisinau have been disconnected from the municipal water mains for two days owing to the large debts for water. According to the supplier, the disconnection of the dwellers with debts has a positive effect. After remaining without water, many of them pay a part of the debts, IPN reports.
In a communiqué, SA Apa-Canal Chisinau says that a number of blocks in Rascani district remained without running water on March 20. Among them are three buildings located on Albisoara St that accumulated debts of over 420,000 lei collectively. The buildings will be reconnected only after the end-users pay 50% of the debts and agree a debt rescheduling timetable.
SA Apa-Canal Chisinau also said that tens of thousands of lei was transferred to the company’s accounts after the dwellers with debts started to be disconnected. More buildings will be disconnected the coming days. The list is available on www.acc.md.
