The Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor Office sent this year 44 appeals to court for canceling several decisions made by the local authorities on giving to rent or usufruct lands and edifices. At the request of the Prosecutor Office, 3 decisions and transactions were canceled by court, states Vladimir Adam, deputy prosecutor of Chisinau Municipality, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In this way 2 hectares of lands, including in parks and in Chisinau’s downtown were returned to the municipal patrimony. A land with an area of 1 ha is located in “Rascani” park and another with an area of 70 ar – on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. Vladimir Adam declared at a press conference that the lands were given illegally to different economic agents that did not perform any activities on the territory of Chisinau municipality. According to Adam, they did not pay practically anything for the rent, settled at a diminished price. The investigations of the prosecutors show that the local authorities offered lands to some persons who did not live and work in Chisinau municipality. On the base of a petition submitted by a citizen, the Prosecutor Office checked out the legality of giving a plot with an area of 6 are on Pietrariei Street and found out that fake documents were presented to the Mayoralty, Vladimir Adam says. The person who received the plot lived in Sangerei town and died in 2005. At the solicitation of the Municipal Prosecutor Office, the transaction was canceled by the court. Penal proceedings were initiated on this case.
