The world exhibition in Milan, in which Moldova took part with an own pavilion, is over. According to the Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO), Moldova’s pavilion during the six-month exhibition had been visited by over 1 million people. The number of visitors in October exceeded considerably organizers’ expectations, being at least twice larger than earlier, IPN reports.
The MIEPO said that Moldova’s pavilion started to be disassembled on November 1. The works are carried out by the Italian construction company that set up the pavilion and will last until next March.
The Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization, which was responsible for Moldova’s participation in this event, is designing the conception of a public contest where the pavilion will be used again. The contest will involve state institutions, private companies and foreign investors. The main condition is to possess land and sufficient financial resources for investing and putting the pavilion to good use.
