Over 1,700 teacher posts vacant in Moldovan schools

The education institutions in Moldova could start the new school year with 1,753 teacher posts unfilled – 1,717 in schools and 36 in colleges, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Education Larisa Savga said that this year 1,626 young persons have graduated from pedagogical faculties, while 497 – from teacher-training colleges. The Ministry of Education and Youth hopes that these persons will fill the vacancies. According to the Ministry, 1,384 young specialists have been assigned for placement so far.
