Over 162 million lei was accumulated on the accounts opened by the Ministry of Finance for the management of the Ukraine refugee crisis, the Crisis Management Center reported.
From March to July, of the total 162 million lei, over 82 million was allocated based on the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. Funds were also distributed to the Executive Committee of UTA Gagauzia, district councils and town halls across the country. As of July 31, 43 million lei of the 82 million lei was used.
The Crisis Management Center, with the technical support of the UN Refugee Agency, developed an online financial reporting tool on the use of donations collected in the accounts of the Ministry of Finance for the management of the refugee crisis. Currently, there are over 80 thousand refugees from Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
