More than 15,000 Moldovans arrived home as a result of 130 repatriation missions organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN quoted Minister Oleg Ţulea as saying in a press briefing on April 22.

He noted that the number of citizens who ask for repatriation assistance online and through the Ministry’s helpline continues to be rather high.

The Commission for Exceptional Situations authorized a number of charter flights. The first such flight will be operated today, from London. Tomorrow, April 23, two planes will bring home Moldovans from Milan and Moscow.

The Moldovans in France’s Paris and Nice will be repatriated on April 24, while those in Moscow and Barcelona on April 25.

Oleg Ţulea said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is making effort to organize a charter flight from the United States.

He added that priority among those who were put on waiting lists after filling out a questionnaire online is given to citizens on medical treatment and those in situations of extreme difficulty.
