Those who look for a job could choose from the over 1,500 vacancies in different areas that were proposed at the Job Fair held in Chisinau on October 12. The veterans were the target of the event this year, IPN reports.

Tatiana Nedbailova, head of the Human Resources Division of “Floare Carpet”, said the company she represents tries to attract the future employees with reasonable salaries and working conditions. The candidates should be aged between 18 and 60 and should not necessarily have work experience or studies in the field, but should be willing to work in a team and learn. After a training period at the company, the employees learn a specialty and can work as weavers, technological equipment operators, etc. The young people are not really inclined to apply for a post in production. These represent only 30% of the company’s personnel.

The Capital Constructions Division of the Chisinau Municipal Council is looking for an evaluator engineer that would determine the costs of construction works, would verify the bids and would formulate expenditure estimates for repair works. Specialist of the Division’s Personnel Service Gheorghe Ivanov said the salary is determined in accordance with a number of regulations given that it is a public institution. “We are ready to hire a person without experience as we will later help this enrich his experience. We do not take age into account, but would like to hire a person who would work for at least ten years. The individual work contract is negotiable,” he stated.

The Italian capital company Cedacri International needs banking operators and software programmers who know Italian. According to the company’s representative Violeta Arbuz, the people aged 25 have big employment chances, but older persons can also apply as it is the skills that are taken into account. Those who graduated from a university or study full time at a faculty are also welcome. The company offers the future employees salaries that are close to the size of the average official salary.

Tatiana Bragarenco, who visited the fair, said she wants a post of cashier-operator or accountant assistant with a minimum salary of 4,000 lei. “I didn’t find suitable offers. These are similar to those on employment portals. The offers should be personalized, but these can be found at companies that may not offer an official job. The problem of unofficial contracts and salaries “in envelope” still persists,” stated Tatiana Bragarenco.

Victor Vasile Catansus, who is of retirement age, is looking for a job in the building sector. He said he wants a simpler job as his forces are no longer as during his youth. He would be satisfied with a salary 3,000-4,000 lei.

According to the director of the National Employment Agency Raisa Dogaru, 15-20% of the persons who take part in the fair find a job. In general, the problem of lack of jobs, but also of potential employees persists in Moldova. “Where there are jobs, there is a shortage of staff. In rural areas, we have persons, but do not have jobs. We offer them to choose the path of mobility and travel from one place to another to go to work,” stated Raisa Dogaru.

Simultaneously with the Job Fair, there is held an online career fair entitled “Jobs in Chisinau” that will end on October 18. The offers can be seen on e-angajare.md.
