More than 1,400 Moldovan citizens will be repatriated by air during the next few days. These are citizens put on the waiting lists of embassies and consular offices. Priority is given to students, persons who received treatment abroad and people in difficulty, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the charter flights will be operated by two Moldovan airlines from Paris, Nice, Milan, Barcelona, London, and Moscow during April 22-26.

The timetable of flights can be viewed on the Ministry’s website. The Ministry calls on the Moldovans to inform themselves about the charter flights operated to repatriate citizens exclusively from official sources, especially the websites of the Civil Aviation Authority, the Government and Moldova’s Embassy and Consulate in the country of residence.

Air traffic was suspended on March 17, when a state of emergency was declared in Moldova in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
