More than 136,000 lei has been collected during the seventh edition of the Purpose of Easter campaign. This year the campaign started on February 27 and ended on Easter Day, IPN reports.
During seven weeks, CCF Moldova called on the people to do purposeful things and to share care for children by visiting the virtual restaurant www.rostulpostului.md. The restaurant could be used by everyone to donate the equivalent value of the food chosen from the menu instead of consuming this. With the proceeds, CCF Moldova supports the families with children affected by extreme poverty.
Over 759,000 lei was collected during the seven editions of the Purpose of Easter campaign. According to CCF Moldova, the donated money went to support 101 children and their families. During the first year of the launch of the campaign in Moldova, the proceeds were used to develop a social crèche in the municipality of Balti.
CCF Moldova works with over 700 children a year on average, offering specialized support for each of them to grow at home, in a family environment.
