Over 100,000 voters cast ballots by 9 a.m.

More than 100,000 citizens with the right to vote cast their ballots by 9 a.m. This is 3.69% of the electors put on the registers of voters, IPN reports.

According to data presented by the Central Election Commission, the women were slightly more active and represented 50.61% of the electors who voted during the first two hours of the start of voting.

The youngest and the oldest voters were less active. The people aged between 18 and 25 constituted 3.35% of the voters who cast their ballots by 9 a.m. The voters aged older 76 reoriented 4.54% of those who voted. These were followed by the voters of the 26-35 age bracket with 7.53%; of the 36-45 age bracket with 14.19%, of the 46-55 age bracket with 18.65%, of the 56-65 age bracket with 28.92%, and of the 66-75 age bracket with 22.81%.

Moldovan voters are to choose 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors on Sunday. Elections in the constituency are considered valid if at least 1/4 of the persons put on voter rolls cast their ballots there.
