A new Career Fair held in Chisinau on September 19 and 20 brings together over 40 companies and organizations operating in different areas of activity that are looking for employees, interns and apprentices. Career Fair project manager Eugeniu Garla has told IPN that those who look for a job, an internship place or volunteer work can choose from among the over 1,000 offers of the fair that is held at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac”. The event continues until 7pm on September 20.
The young people are mainly interested in such areas as IT, Internet, law and engineering. On the other hand, there are a number of vacancies in such areas as retail trade, banking and electric wire harnesses building.
According to Eugeniu Garla, this year’s fair, which is the tenth of the kind, gathered together the largest number of employees. The previous events involved up to 33 employees. This year the participating employers are better prepared. On the first day, the fair attracted about 1,300 young people. The organizers expect that the number of visitors will not be lower than 3,000.
Proficiency in English is a condition imposed by many of the employers. This condition placed obstacles to many of the young people looking for a job.
The Career Fair is the largest network of career events in Romania and Moldova. With over 10 years of work and more than 100 editions, the Career Fair aims to offer the young people from the two countries the best career opportunities. This autumn the event is held in Chisinau, Cluj, Iasi, Oradea, Brasov, Targu-Mures, and Sibiu.
