Outdoor refrigerators from “Stefan cel Mare” Park temporarily locked

The beverage and ice-cream fridges from the “Stefan cel Mare” Public Garden are locked down. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Municipal Police Chief Silviu Musuc stated that it is a security measure for German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit. According to Silviu Musuc, vendors have been warned beforehand, and the fridges are closed for two days, i.e. August 21-22. In light of the visit of the German Chancellor, restrictions ensue regarding the following institutions and arteries – the Government building, the perimeter of the Grand National Assembly Square, the “Stefan cel Mare” Public Garden, 21, 23, 24 Nicolae Iorga Str., 16, 18, 35 Maria Cebotari Str., and their adjacent territories. Citizens are asked to be tolerant towards all the necessary security measures. Angela Merkel arrives on Wednesday, August 22, at 2:35pm, accompanied by a delegation of about 50 people. After bilateral and group meetings the Chancellor will give a speech at the Republican Palace, at 6pm, and will afterwards lay flowers at the monument of ruler Stefan cel Mare.
