Our National Idea Is to Build Europe at Home - Vladimir Voronin

President Vladimir Voronin found this week “an obstacle” concerning the European integration. He stated in front of the Cabinet he does not think it was done on purpose, mentioning that “persons that coordinate and control this activity have trusted that everybody would consciously ensure the implementation of imperatives planned in the Moldova–EU Action Plan”. We must realise that it is the Moldovans who need, to a 99% degree, the European integration in order to strengthen the state’s fundamental principles and sovereignty and to solve in this way the problem of the territorial integrity”, said Voronin. The head of state maintained that “we must make Europeans look at Moldova”. As he states, “it does not matter when the integration will take place, in one or ten years, it is important that Moldova meets European standards, “to build Europe at home”. This is the goal of Moldova–EU Action Plan and our national idea”, underlined the head of state. Vladimir Voronin is hopeful that Moldova will succeed in fulfilling the plans, as “we have all the chances to obtain this, because we proved it, despite the bad circumstances of the current year”.
