The party “Our Home - Moldova” was renamed the “Red Bloc” in the party’s extraordinary congress on May 10. The delegates also approved the new program of the bloc. Given that most of the members of the party are former members of the Party of Communists, the congress took this party’s program adopted in 2008 as basis, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the renamed party.
In the congress, the delegates underlined the necessity of fighting the antinational oligarchic regime and of mounting protests against the Filat-Plahotniuc-Voronin regime. It was also noted that the “Red Bloc” must become a platform that will unite the real Communists and those with leftist views around joint ideas and actions.
The participants in the congress said the current government is a criminal one and cooperation with it is impossible. They condemned the military policy of the Moldovan administration, which is aimed, according to them, at liquidating the constitutional neutrality of the country.
The chairman of the “Red Bloc” Grigore Petrenco said that a new opposition party emerges in Moldova. It will work based on the Marxist philosophy and will struggle against the current regime that it considers antinational, without making compromises.
