The OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will visit the Republic of Moldova from September 17 to 19. He will engage in talks with senior officials from Moldova and with Tiraspol’s political leadership regarding the Transnistrian settlement process.
According to an OSCE press release, during his visit to Moldova, Thomas Greminger will focus on advancing the Transnistrian settlement process in accordance with the principles agreed upon by all 57 states participating in the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan in December 2018.
The official will also discuss OSCE's role in ensuring the transparency of the withdrawal process, in the destruction of Russian munitions and weapons and in coordinating the financial and technical assistance offered to facilitate ammunition withdrawal and destruction.
Addionally, the OSCE Secretary General will discuss the potential areas for OSCE involvement in supporting Moldova’s reform agenda.
