OSCE encourages women's political participation

The OSCE Mission to Moldova and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will hold a roundtable meeting on “Increasing the Participation of Women in Political Parties in Moldova” on 4 September in Chisinau. The event will be followed by a training seminar for women political leaders and activists during September 4-6, the Mission said in a press release, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The meeting aims to facilitate discussion among political party leaders, campaign managers and representatives of international organizations and civil society on women’s political participation. The event will bring together experts from international and domestic organizations, as well as representatives of political parties. Participants will share good practices political parties can use to promote women as party candidates in elections at the local, regional and national levels.
