At the fourth round of official 5+2 negotiations for the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, participants will discuss issues related to freedom of movement and education, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov told Info-Prim Neo. The negotiations will take place on September 12 and 13, in Vienna. The Irish chairmanship of OSCE submitted a draft agenda of the discussions to Chisinau and Tiraspol. “The agenda contains several issues, such as ensuring freedom of movement between the sides of the Nistru, including road and railway transport as well as people’s movement”, said Eugen Carpov. The agenda also includes the issue of education cooperation and the problem of the schools using Latin script on the left side of the Nistru. Other issues on the agenda concern observance of human rights and cooperation between representatives of civil society from Chisinau and Tiraspol. Fighting crime and cooperation in case of emergencies will also be among the discussed topics, said Carpov. As regards the case of Vadim Pisari, the young man killed at the beginning of this year by a peacekeeper, Eugen Carpov said that the issue is on the agenda of discussions with the relevant representatives of the Russian Federation. “We await all the final papers about the investigation carried out there and we’ll act according to the results. This problem needs not to be discusses in 5+2 format, but in bilateral talks, and namely with Moscow”, he said. Carpov added said talks with the Russian side would take place soon, but didn’t name a date.
