The second international festival “Gustar” will take place at Orheiul Vechi on August 27 and 28. The visitors will be able to taste delicious Moldovan food and wine, listen to music of the Balkan Countries, South America and Central Europe and to see the most beautiful sights of Orheiul Vechi, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“There will be also staged a fair of the region’s craftsmen and an extraordinary rock lights show,” Vlad Costandoi, director of the company “Sens Music”, told a news conference.
“This year, the East-European Foundation co-finances the festival as it is convinced that the event will contribute to the development of rural tourism as important sector of Moldova’s economy,” said Petru Culeac, program coordinator at the East-European Foundation.
UN Resident Coordinator in Moldova Kaarina Immonen said that this year the UN also supports this cultural event. “We want to offer the disabled persons the opportunity to enjoy this festival and the ethnic minorities – the possibility to promote their culture and art,” said Kaarina Immonen.
Valeriu Pasa, director of the cultural-natural reserve “Orheiul Vechi”, said the festival “Gustar” is expected both by the reserve’s administration and the locals. “This year, we will organize a tourist route to present all the historical monuments of the reserve “Orheiul Vechi”. The hotel situated on the reserve’s territory has a capacity of 50 places,” said Valeriu Pasa.
Rodica Verbeniuc, a representative of the mobile phone carrier Moldcell, co-organizer of the event, said there will be created a free wireless Internet area.
The organizers of the festival include “Sens Music”, the East-European Foundation, the Swedish Embassy in Chisinau, the UN, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, and Moldcell. Info-Prim Neo is the media partner of the event.
