Acting head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of Chisinau Alexadru Fleas signed an order by which the collection of presupposed taxes for admission to budget-funded institutions for providing the students with alternative textbooks and for additional educational services besides those stipulated in the programs of studies, for the repair and equipment of education institutions or for extra-school activities and the acceptance by teachers of other benefits from students and their families are banned, IPN reports.
“The teaching, scientific-teaching and scientific personnel cannot provide services for money to students with whom they interact directly in the classroom or in the academic group in teaching activity,” says the order. If the content of the given order and the provisions of the legal acts that ban the illegal collection of money are not respected, those to blame will face penalties.
