The inspection bodies between October 3 and November 3 will plan state inspections based on risk factors, without going to the scene. Deputy Prime Minister Octavian Calmac, Minister of Economy, signed an order to this effect, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Economy says the order provides that the administrative authorities managed by the Ministry that were empowered with inspection duties will adopt decisions about state inspections at the scene only if they possess truthful and substantiated information about the existence of an imminent danger to the population’s life and health, to the economic security of the state, if the given situations cannot be remedied outside an on-the-spot inspection. The inspection will be carried out only after the Ministry is notified beforehand.
Under the order, the administrative authorities empowered with inspection duties in the mentioned period will lay emphasis on consultative actions and formulation of recommendations for persons involved in entrepreneurial activities, on the organization of corruption risk assessment/reassessment activities within the authorities, working out of the integrity plan, etc.
In connection with the expiration of the moratorium on state inspections on September 30, the Ministry of Economy suggested that the state inspections on the spot should be further carried out only as exceptions. According to the Ministry, the inspection bodies after the moratorium will plan state inspections by using the criteria for exceptional inspections defined in the Law on the Moratorium on State Inspections.
