The president of the Constitutional Court (CC) Alexandru Tanase considers that the protests staged by the Communists are a natural element of democratic processes that should not worry society until they are peaceful. “We should regard them as something natural and normal and understand that in a democratic state the political power does not dictate the people what to do,” he stated in a program on the public radio station “Radio Moldova”, Info-Prim Neo reports. He also said that after the President is invested, there won’t be reasons to hold discussions about the constitutional crisis. “I hope it will be a good occasion for the relations between the opposition and the parliamentary majority to enter a format of dialogue. It is more efficient for the parliamentary opposition to promote political messages or political projects in Parliament rather than in other ways,” said the judge. Alexandru Tanase voiced hope that now that the President was elected, the situation in Moldova will be stable and normal even if there are tensions and political complications. The Communists haven’t attended the Parliament’s sittings since February, when the spring-summer session started. The PCRM seeks the dissolution of Parliament and calling of early elections.
