The opposition MPs will continue the protest actions at the concluding sitting of the Parliament’s current session, against the majority’s refusal to create a commission that would examine the state of affairs at the municipal radio and TV stations, MP of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Veaceslav Untila announced on Wednesday, December 27. The MP proposed once again, at Wednesday’s sitting, to create the respective commission, but his proposal garnered only 31 votes. Untila stated that the opposition MPs will continue the protest actions at the end of this session, when the Moldovan President will be in the hall “and will witness the behaviour of communist MPs and Christian democrats, who voted against the proposal to create the commission”. It is the third sitting when the opposition MPs request to create a parliamentary commission that would examine the situation in “Euro TV Chisinau” and “Antena C” stations, as a result of the decision by Chisinau Municipal Council to reorganise the two institutions by announcing an investment contest. As sign of protest against the communist parliamentary majority’s and Christian democrats’ unwillingness to take attitude towards the municipal authorities’ decision to put these public stations for sale, certain MPs have blocked the Parliament’s central tribune a week ago, while on Friday, December 22 they impeded the Prime Minister Tarlev to present the report on the Government’s activity.
