Operators of minibuses involved in accidents to be called for explanations

Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca has instructed the Municipal Transport Division to call the operators of minibuses that have been involved in traffic accidents to provide explanations, Info-Prim Neo reports. Transport Division deputy head Teodor Josan said the minibus that was struck by a train on Sunday had been running on route 120 in Chisinau and was rented for a wedding. Dorin Chirtoaca says impunity plays a great role in the minibus drivers' disrespect for traffic rules. The mayor thinks route operators should not be allowed to rent minibuses for various events as this is an unauthorized practice. He requested that explanations be provided at the next meeting of the City Hall.
