The operation „Giro far” will start in the capital on 31 March, which aims, according to Road Police, finding violations of the Road Circulation Regulation, reducing the number of accidents and increasing traffic discipline. The inspector of road circulation security, administrative supervision and public relations service, of Chisinau Road Police, Ion Roscovanu, said that according to provisions of Road Circulation Regulation, the cars of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Information and Security Service, Guard Troops Department, State Guard Department, those for fire extinction, ambulances, as well as bank services, special post, have a priority circulation program in case of working missions. They are equipped with special signal means, and when these are during working program, do not have to use the lights and sign in this sense. Ion Roscovanu said that when cars with included signs get closer, drivers are forced to cede regardless of the direction they go, or to free the road the special cars drive, getting closer to pavement, or to stop. In case when the cars get closer to a parked car, but has the blue light on, they have to reduce the speed to the limit that, when necessary, would ensure immediate stopping of transport unit. Non-respecting these provisions of the Regulation could make the driver to pay a fine of 10 to 15 minimum salaries or confiscation of driving licence for a year. Operation „Giro far” will take place in the capital on 31 March. The president of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus, will visit Chisinau in the same day.
