A mobile library was placed in “Mihai Eminescu” square in Chisinau for the lovers of reading to be able to read a book in the open air while downtown. The idea was put into practice by the Centru district head’s office and those who want can donate books to complement the library, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban brought the first books to the library. These are: “Unknown Chisinau” by Iurie Colesnic and “Moldova and its Seven Wonders” by Iurie Răileanu. The mayor noted the role of this initiative is to encourage the people to read and enrich their knowledge by learning new things so as to be useful to society.
The eventual book donors – companies, institutions and ordinary people – can contact the local authority on (022) 27-15-13 or go to its head office at 43 Bulgară St.
