The ballot for the November 28 early legislative elections may contain 40 election contenders – 20 parties and 20 independent candidates. It will be about 80 cm long, secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Iurie Ciocan said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Eight independents submitted the necessary documents to the CEC on the last day possible – October 28. The Commission has seven days at the disposal to decide whether to register them as contenders or not. [Until now, the CEC has registered the following election contenders]: 1. The National Liberal Party 2. The Democrat Party of Moldova 3. The Liberal Party 4. The United Moldova Party 5. The Christian Democratic People's Party 6. The European Action Movement 7. The Moldova's Patriots Party 8. The Party for Nation and Country 9. The Republican Party of Moldova 10. The “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Party 11. The Humanist Party of Moldova 12. The Communists Party of Moldova 13. The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova 14. Valeriu Plesca 15. The Conservative Party 16. Gabriel Stati (independent) 17. The Republican People's Party 18.
