Only the girl aged one year and a half, who got infected with the A (H1N1) flu virus, remained in the infectious diseases hospital “Toma Ciorba” in Chisinau. The 24-year-old woman, who brought the first pandemic flu case to Moldova, was discharged after administered treatment, Info-Prim Neo reports. At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, the Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said that the condition of the small patient is satisfactory as she received a special treatment, as recommended by the World Health Organization. Moldovanu also said that four persons that were in direct contact with the woman aged 24 are under medical supervision. The woman was diagnosed with the A (H1N1) virus on July 28, after she returned from a trip to European countries. The second case was reported on July 31. The virus was detected in the small girl, who came into contact with the young woman. The Ministry of Health assured that Moldova has special drugs enough to treat 5,000 persons infected with pandemic flu. There were set up special wards. The Emergency Service has an ambulance outfitted with medicines, equipment and clothes for the doctors that will deal with suspect A (H1N1) flu cases.
