One of main sunflower oil producers announces price rises

The sunflower oil maker “Floarea Soarelui” will propose increasing the price of oil by 4%. The company's director Anatolii Orlovschi has told Info-Prim Neo that the subject will be discussed in a meeting of officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and representatives of the main oil producers. Anatolii Orlovschi said the rise in the price of vegetal oil stems from the 7.8% increase in the price of raw material. He expressed his confidence that the other producers will support the intention to put the price of oil up. Two weeks ago, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Dumitru Hodorogea said the sunflower oil is expected to get cheaper towards the end of February. In the recent period, the oil grew dearer by about 40%.
