One more Sunday with car-free zone in Chisinau center

This Sunday, October 21, the center of Chisinau will be once again a car-free zone. Nistor Grozavu, the Deputy Mayor in charge of the projcet, told Info-Prim Neo that the Municipality decided to open the car-free zone one more day before taking a final decision. Until the City Day, the section of Stefan cel Mare Avenue between A.Puskin St and V.Alecsandri St was transformed into a pedestrian area on Sundays as an experiment and the people’s reaction has been positive so far, says Nistor Grozavu. Because of the pedestrian street, public transport will be detoured to adjacent streets as during previous Sundays.
