The Party “Motherland”, whose list of candidates is topped by businessman Renato Usatyi, submitted the documents required to be registered as runner in the November 30 legislative elections to the Central Election Commission (CEC). At 5pm, the CEC took a preliminary decision that this party will be the 16th in the ballot.

Fifteen parties filed applications on October 3, when it was the first day when the documents could be filed to the CEC. The order in ballots was decided by a draw.

Secretary of the Central Election Commission Andrei Volentir has told IPN that the CEC has seven days of the day the documents are submitted to check them and to register the parties as election runners.

In the October 7 meeting, the CEC will set the cap of the financial resources that can be transferred to the electoral fund of a contender and the size of the loan provided to the election runners. The Commission is to also approve the Electoral Functionaries’ Code of Conduct.
