The meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) called at the request of over one third of the councilors could not take place as a quorum was not present. Only 12 councilors came to the meeting, IPN reports.
According to the head of the PAS group on the CMC Vasile Grădinaru, even if the agenda includes important items, such as the cancelation of the higher property tax and the quality of public transport, the Socialists refuse to come to the meeting. The situation is even more serious when the mayor also does not come, but he should have mobilized the Socialist councilors. He is making a show. The PAS condemns the attitude of the Socialists who do not come to the meeting as the problems faced by the municipality remain unsolved.
This is the third attempt to convene a meeting of the CMC, made at the request of the councilors of the PAS, PUN and PPPDA.
